Becoming A Member

“We are to have a personal relationship with Jesus,
but not a private one.”

When a person becomes a Christian, they begin a relationship not only with the Lord, but with the Lord’s people as well.  Church membership is one way to reflect and express this.

We believe it is important that you know as much about Village Bible Church as you can when you join, thus we request that everyone participate in our Discover VBC! class as the first step.  Here you will learn about the uniqueness’s, structure and “personality” of VBC.  Just as each person has a unique and distinct personality, so does each church. This class is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and dialogue about the church and the Christian life.  Participating in the Discover VBC! class does not obligate you to join – but it is the first step.

Joining the church in official membership qualifies you to vote in our quarterly congregational meetings, expresses your commitment and helps us be able to give you the pastoral care that you desire and at some point will need.  Acts 20:28 says  "Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.”  We certainly do not limit our pastoral care to just members, but membership helps us fulfill that responsibility and privilege care more fully.

If you have any questions concerning membership or the church, please communicate to us through email or phone and a pastor will contact you.

If you’re interested in membership, please click on the button below, fill out application and return to the church office. We will contact you when the next membership class is held.

Once you’ve completed the application,
